A holder of black belts in Tang Soo Do and Daito Ryu Jujitsu as well experience in other diverse art as Wing Chun, Siu Lum ( Shaolin), American Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Hung Gar, Kickboxing, Shotokan, Okinawan Kenpo, Kali, and several others. John is also a film historian, has done mo-cap(motion capture) work in the video game industry, and has worked with some very famous names like Jet Li, Tsui Hark, Yuen Cheung-Yen, David Carradine, and Roger Corman. John has written an excellent book Fight Choreography: The Art of Non Verbal Dialogue, which provides excellent information on this often neglected form of movie storytelling (at least in the West).
